What happens to the details you share on www.anchorpalak.in — in short: they are used only to reply to your enquiry and plan your event.
Last updated
This website is run by Palak Shah (Anchor Palak Shah), an event anchor based in Mumbai, India. This policy explains what information the site collects, why, and the choices you have. Questions about it can be sent to contact@anchorpalak.in.
1.What you send through the enquiry form
When you send an enquiry you share your name and contact number, the type of event and, if you choose, its date and location.
These details are used only to reply to your enquiry and, if you book, to plan your event. They are not sold, shared for marketing, or added to any mailing list.
To stop the form being misused, the site counts how many enquiries arrive from each internet connection in an hour. For this it keeps a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address — never the address itself — and deletes it after an hour.
2.Where your enquiry goes
- It is saved in the website’s database on its hosting provider’s servers.
- A copy is emailed to Palak’s inboxes (contact@anchorpalak.in and anchorpalakshah@gmail.com) so she can reply. If the database is ever unavailable, the email is the only copy.
3.How long it is kept
Enquiries are kept for as long as they are needed to respond and, for booked events, for the records of that event. You can ask for your enquiry to be deleted at any time (see “Your choices” below).
4.Reviews you send
The review form on the reviews page asks for the name you would like shown, your review and your permission to publish it; a star rating, the occasion, when it was and an email address are optional. Your review is saved privately and is published only after it has been checked and approved.
Once approved, the name you gave, your review and any rating, occasion and date you chose are shown publicly on the reviews page. Your email address is never published: it is used only if Palak needs to check something about your review. The time of your consent and its wording are kept as a record.
To limit repeated submissions, the site keeps a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address with the review — never the address itself — and clears it after a day. Reviews that came in as messages (WhatsApp, Instagram) are shown with the sender’s profile photos and phone numbers blurred.
You can ask for your review to be corrected or removed at any time by writing to contact@anchorpalak.in.
5.Cookies
The site sets one cookie, ps_session. It keeps the enquiry form secure against forged submissions and shows you the result of your enquiry. It holds no personal details and ends when you close your browser.
There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics scripts.
6.Instagram reels
Some pages show reels from Palak’s Instagram account, @harpalkihost. Depending on how they are shown, your browser loads either Instagram’s embedded player (only once you scroll near the reels) or the video files from Instagram’s servers. In both cases Instagram, a Meta company, receives your IP address and browser information, and its embedded player may set its own cookies under Instagram’s privacy policy.
7.Hosting and delivery
Like any website, the site’s hosting provider and the content delivery network in front of it process technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Links to WhatsApp, phone, email, Instagram and LinkedIn open those services, which handle your information under their own policies.
8.Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the details of your enquiry by writing to contact@anchorpalak.in. You can also contact Palak by phone or WhatsApp instead of using the form if you prefer.
9.Changes to this policy
If the way the site handles information changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. See also the terms and conditions.
